Important
Attention Android users! If you are running Android Oreo 8.0 API 26 and above AND you have downloaded Pocket Geek ID v 1.32, then the Pocket Geek ID Autofill now replaces the Smartfield Icon. You will get the same results, but with a more intuitive experience.
The Smartfield Icon for Android looks a little different from the one on the Browser Extension, but they both provide quick access for you to:
Register new accounts online, with the possibility to generate anonymized email addresses (aliases) as User IDs & strong passwords.
Retrieve your stored login credentials and fill login pages automatically for you.
The Smartfield Icon for Android will appear whenever you tap in a field on an app’s login screen or on a website, from your android device. You’ll recognize it by the Pocket Geek ID logo. It appears on the top right side of your screen, but you can move it wherever you find it most convenient.
Simply tap on the Smartfield Icon to expand it. This gives you access to all the credentials saved in your Password Manager for the website/app you are currently on.
If the Smartfield Icon is taking up too much space, you can hide it by dragging and dropping it at the bottom of your screen.
Let’s say you are visiting a website and would like to register a new account with strong credentials. Simply tap on Smartfield Icon when it appears and tap the “ADD AN ACCOUNT” button. If you already have an account saved in your Password Manager, but would still like to register another one with new credentials, simply tap the “ADD ANOTHER ACCOUNT” button.
You can use the Smartfield Icon to create a truly secure and private account by generating an alias email address and a strong password.

icon to generate an alias email address to use as a User IDTap on the
icon to generate and customize a strong passwordSimply tap on “Save and Fill” to save these credentials in your Password Manager

You can also use your own credentials if you prefer.

This set of credentials is saved in your Password Manager and you are returned to the now-filled registration form.

This set of credentials is saved in your Password Manager and you are returned to the now-filled registration form.
If you already have an account saved in your Password Manager for the website/app you are on and you need to log into your account, then, from the Smartfield Icon:
Select the account you wish to use from the offered list
If you don’t see the account you want in the list and are sure it is saved in your Password Manager, you can use the search function to find it!
Enter your Master Key or use your fingerprint to confirm it’s you
Your login credentials are retrieved and the login form is filled.
Caution
Your Master Key is a sequence of characters that you created and that you and only you know. It is used to decrypt the sensitive data stored in your Managers. You are its only guardian, we truly have no access to it (and therefore can’t misuse it or put it at risk), so make sure to keep it safe and not lose it or your encrypted data would stay in gibberish form forever. The good news is this is the only password you now need to remember!
You can adapt your preferences regarding the Master Key from the security section of your Settings. Learn more
Tip
To use your fingerprint, you need to attach your Master Key to it. It is as safe as entering the Master Key. To set up the fingerprint, go to the app Settings and under Setup, tap on the toggle for the fingerprint to enable it. If the fingerprint is already set up on your device, a pop-up will appear asking you to enter your Master Key and will link it to the fingerprint.
You wish to log into your favorite website/app and already have an account, but you want to save it in your Pocket Geek ID Password Manager. That’s a good idea, here’s how to do that:
Expand the Smartfield Icon and tap on “ADD AN ACCOUNT” (or “ADD ANOTHER ACCOUNT”)
Enter the login credentials for the account you wish to save
Tap on “Save and Fill”
Your login credentials are saved in your Password Manager and you are returned to the now-filled login form.
