The Settings menu is now available from the Dashboard.
The “About us” section of the app (available from the Settings) has been improved with links to the company’s awarded patents and legal documents.
The readability of some graphs has been improved in the Dashboard (legend, colors, numbers in graphs).
Thanks to some improvements of Pocket Geek ID’s AI and better detection of the nature of online fields, the Smartfield Icon is now able to offer to generate passwords in the “New password” field on change/reset password forms consistently.
Notable bug fixes
Known issue we are working on
Our Browser Extension stops working when on the “Password Required” window on https://www.pandora.com/settings/info. We are investigating a solution.
Multiple bug fixes
Gboard (the Google keyboard available on mobile) was keeping values copied to the clipboard longer than expected (up to one hour). Pocket Geek ID’s best practice is to keep the value only for 1 minute. This discrepancy has been fixed to match Pocket Geek ID’s security mandate.
The app would sometimes crash when users were navigating too fast from Manager to Manager. It has been stabilized.
Aliases were sometimes wrongfully generated in the phone number fields on an account creation page when using the Smartfield Icon. It is now behaving properly.
Passwords strength is now displayed consistently across the app.
The Tracker Filter doesn’t work with the Chrome browser. This is a limitation orchestrated by Chrome for which we currently have no workaround.
The way to explain Pocket Geek ID’s two main features (the Safari Extension and Pocket Geek ID Autofill) has been refined. Finding out when and how best to use the features can be challenging for new users. We now offer in-app guidance, error messages, tips, animations, tutorial videos and Help center articles to ease users in their discovery of all the app’s possibilities. Most of our new material is available here, check it out.
The “Save” button was changed to “Save and Fill” when appropriate so users can tell when the app is ready to autofill a form.
When using the Safari Extension, and if there is no account saved in the app yet, the “New account” screen is displayed right away so users can add an account to the app manually without delay.
The “generate” buttons have changed and now include plus (“+”) signs for more clarity.
The Video Gallery in the “Getting started” section now has its own tab for easier access.
Jailbroken devices are detected and a warning message about the weakened security is displayed.
Changing a Master Key is still an issue when users do it from another device. It works properly, but the user needs to manually log out and then log back in for it to be effective.
The Pocket Geek ID Autofill feature has some limitations for retrieving credentials. This is fixed with the use of iOS 13.
