Notable changes
New Archive feature – Deleting an alias email address altogether is a dangerous endeavor since aliases are sometimes used as User IDs (which is a great practice to protect your accounts and your inbox, but it also means that, without these aliases, any communication relative to these accounts can’t reach you). This is why the “Delete” option has been removed from the Alias Manager, and an “Archive” feature has been added. The “Archive” feature answers the same need, but with an easy recovery option. Because of this new security measure, users will see in their new “Archive folder” all the aliases that they may have “deleted” while using previous versions of the product. They are still deactivated (all the senders are blocked), but it is now possible to restore the original means of communication with the service provider if needed.
Passwords generated by Pocket Geek ID’s password generator are now 12-character long by default (instead of 10).
Whenever a session expires, a banner now appears on top of whatever webpage the user is on to let them know that they are no longer logged in and encourage them to reconnect.
Notable bug fixes
The Smartfield Icon now displays accounts sorted in a way that the most used ones are on top.
There was an issue with editing manually added data. It is now fixed.
Tooltips in the Tracker Panel have been fixed.
Known issue
expedia.com has a bug that blocks the creation of an account with an alias email address on some devices. This is not linked to the validity of the alias though, and you can use the same alias to create an account from a different device.

iOS 14’s little widgets are here so Pocket Geek ID is taking advantage of the convenient little shortcut to let you position it on your favorite home screen. Unfortunately, the new widgets don’t have the same power as the old ones and cannot perform actions, so keep the old one handy to create aliases on the go and add this new one as a shortcut to the Alias Manager where you need it most.
